I'm having difficulty balancing friends and homework. I've met a few really great girls that I love to spend time with and they are generally first year students, so although they are working hard, they have more free time than I do because 1) they have easier classes, and 2) they are taking the normal 5 courses per semester, where I'm taking one more. But, I know that the whole social side of things is one of the biggest reasons why I transferred here. Actually, this week I sat down and made a list of things that I'm focusing on during my time here. Here they are:
-academics
-relationships
-growth in God
-career networking
-being accepting of change

I also took the Myers-Briggs personality test again after some 5 years, thinking (and hoping) that I had changed enough to get a different result, but I got the same type that I did in high school: ISTJ. It was good for me to see, because while I'm now spending almost all of my time with other people (even studying in a common room), I do need to make sure that I spend time alone just to recharge my batteries. On a related note, I can see why English has been causing me to bite my tongue to prevent me from complaining. I think according to principles and logic, not really based on feelings (although there are always exceptions). So, when I need to evaluate how the author is trying to portray something, it's a little challenging. But, this is all a growth process.
