Flights are booked!

Things are moving right along now that I have booked my flights! I will leave Calgary on May 5 in the evening. It takes 1 day and 2 nights to get to South Africa! Then, I will have to catch a flight to Mozambique, although those plans aren't finalized yet.

So, I guess it's one month away today! As it gets closer, it's moving from a dream to a reality. Most of the paperwork is out of the way, and there are just little things to take care of now. It's very exciting!

I really hope to get my hands dirty, doing everything I can so that I can get an ideal picture of what a Linguist's job really looks like. I have an opportunity to go with one of the Linguists to a village to do a kind of workshop with the people there. Again, I'm not too sure on the details, but it will be a nice way to get another angle on things.
