Since my last post, I got some more info about Mozambique. It looks like I'll be working in the area of dictionary-making. This is a pretty important step because when the translators come in, they need to have an established list of common words along with their match in English (or whatever other language).
I'll be staying in a guest house at the base, which is in the city, so everything is pretty close. It will be interesting finding my way around and learning how to buy groceries and things like that.
I saw some pictures of the center from one of the girls that is there right now, and although living conditions are modest, it looks like a great place.
So right now I'm patiently waiting for things to fall into place. I haven't bought my tickets yet, so I'm not even set on particular dates. I'm just working on a project at the church for a few weeks to keep me busy and to make a little spending money. I'll be glad when I have a ticket in hand and this dream begins to be reality!
