I left today to go meet up with HC - man, I missed him soooooooo much! He's been such a key person in the last year of my Christian growth, and of course, we have had lots of fun! So I see him today and man, it was so cool! He LOVED my hair, and his has changed too. I felt so completely comfortable with him, and it was unreal that we were actually in the same room together after so long! We talked and laughed and it was so great.
So HC tells me that my Senora has heard of HC and how he's a Christian goth. She didn't know there was such a thing, and got so excited because her daughter (soon to be my house-mate) is gothic but not a Christian! What an incredible opportunity!! So my Senora, L, really wants them to meet and to hang out. So I'm not worried one bit that we won't have any chances to hang out! I'm sure the three of us and more will go out lots! Man, I am just so very excited about L because I was expecting her to be very concerned about the way I look or act, but if her daughter is goth, and wants her to have a Christian goth as a friend, she's obviously not trying to "convert" her to normal ways! There are no words to describe how excited I am!! I can't wait to start working at the base and that, because just the presence of another YWAMer totally refreshes me!
Tomorrow morning I'm off to Barquisimeto to meet some other YWAMers!
