Learning about leisure

I've really been trying to live out my conviction of taking time out for fun and socializing. It's been somewhat of a challenge, but my quirky schedule has almost helped me in a way. I have my sessions with the language resource person (LRP) on Tuesdays, so the last half of the week involves a lot of data entry and analysis but the first part of the week is a little more relaxed. I've tried to use this to my advantage. I have a Bible study on Mondays, which has been great to just get out of the apartment and get to know some other girls. Once a month there are free lunches with stories from a missionary at CanIL, so I definitely participate at those. This last week, we had a hockey watching party for the Flames-Canucks game, and last night my roommate and I went out for a fancy dinner! I was a bit worried about the cost, but it turns out that I got a GST rebate from the government that paid for it in the end! I feel like even though I'm spending less time on homework, I'm getting just as much done and I'm not exhausted all the time. I suppose I'm finally listening to my own advice I give to my mom: Take breaks!!!
